Walton and Allen provide property management services to a number of buildings and estates across the East Midlands.
The Hicking Building
The Hicking Building was built in 1873 as part of a large lace factory. It was named after George Hicking. As many will know, Nottingham was famous for the production of lace.
The building was converted into four blocks of apartments in 2005. 329 apartments were created and 2 commercial units. The commercial units have been occupied by American restaurant chain Hooters for some years. This is the only branch of Hooters in the UK.
The building has a range of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Other building features include:
- Car Parking
- A two minute walk to Nottingham train station
- Close to the city centre
- Close to sports grounds
Our property management
Since beginning management in 2011, Walton and Allen Property Management have implemented a number of improvements. We have also worked to maintain each block to a very high standard.
Our main focus in the last two years has been fire safety since the building is over one hundred years old. We want every resident to live in as safe an environment as possible. As such, we have been making a number of improvements across the site, including the underground car park.
As the block is fairly lodge, we also monitor maintenance closely. Improvements have also been made to the interior and exterior decoration. We pride ourselves in having a block which looks clean, tidy and well kept.
Walton and Allen Property Management also create and manage budgets which directly affect the upkeep of the building. We collect service charge and ground rent for this.
