Nottingham Property Price Update
Over the last 12 months of running property house price reports, Walton & Allen can confirm Nottingham property prices are up 5.3% on the previous year. The last 3 months have also seen a small increase in prices at 0.3%.
According to Hometrack, the average property price in Nottingham now is £144,400.
Although this is not a huge increase compared to previous months, it is still good news for Nottingham home owners!
East Midlands Property Market
The East Midlands as a whole has also seen a slight increase in property prices, up 0.1% on the previous month and 4% on the previous year. Rightmove suggest the average selling time is 58 days which is one of the quickest selling areas across the county, only beaten by the West Midlands and Scotland.
National Property Price Update
Rightmove report there is currently a dip in supply, meaning buyers are struggling to find their ideal home. If you’re thinking of selling soon, now may be the perfect time whilst demand is still high.
The potential reasons for this are that buyers are hoping to snap up a property using the potential stamp duty savings announced last year. It also looks as though they are hoping to beat any rise in mortgage interest charges.
5 year asking price trends and monthly asking price trends are also at an all time high.
