Meter Readings

To request a meter reading, please fill in the form on your main entrance noticeboard. If your building does not have a noticeboard form, please use the Walton&Allen app or click here to request one via our website.

Refuse Collection

The bins are collected on Mondays (except Bank Holidays)

Large Item Collection

If you have large bulky waste items that cannot be disposed of, please contact Nottingham City Council on 0115 9155555 to arrange a FREE collection.

Out of Hour Emergency Line: In the event of an emergency please call the office on 0115 924 3304/0115 924 1813 the answer phone message will give you the current emergency call out number. Please note if the call out is deemed not to be an emergency or to be the fault of the tenant then you may incur a charge for the call out.

Buildings insurance

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has been working with one of the residents for the blocks insurance that is due for renewal. A competitive rate has been instructed.

Garage roof cleaning

Jordan’s Cleaning Services have attended site and cleaned the top of the garage roofs from any leaves and debris.

Site visit

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has attended site and completed a walk around inspection of the communal areas.

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has attended site and met with a cleaning contractor in order to obtain a quote for the top of the garages and walk way to be cleaned and cleared of any moss.

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has attended site and carried out a walk around inspection. The gardening company have also been approached in order for a quote to be provided for the excess waste left by the bin area to be disposed off.

Window Cleaning

Complete Surface Care have attended site and carried out the window cleaning to all elevations.

Gully repair

Following our comment on 6th January 2017, the quote received has been instructed and we are currently awaiting an attendance date from EMS.

Communal Gardening

Following our comment on December 23rd 2016, Brass Facilities have carried out their first visit today. There are still some leaves that require removing and will be done through the course of the week.

EMS have attended site to investigate and provide a quote for a damaged gully to be repaired.

The Service Charges are due today.

Salt/Grit within the Communal Areas

We would like to politely remind all residents that the responsibility for salting/gritting the communal areas is the responsibility of the residents. Please note; even if salt/grit has been provided by the management company, Walton&Allen or the management company take no responsibility for salting/gritting the communal areas.

Communal Gardening

Brass Facilities have been instructed to carry out the communal gardening in 2017 and will attend 12 times a year. Their first visit will be carried out W/C 9th January 2017.

Walton&Allen’s Roaming Caretaker has attended site today and completed the painting of the rubber roof sealer to the rest of the flat roof.

Window Cleaning

Surface Care have attended site today and carried out the window cleaning.

Scaffolding

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has contacted the contractor that carried out the fascia works and requested that the scaffolding is removed as soon as possible.

We apologise for the delay in getting this equipment off site.

Gutter and Fascia Works

Following our comment below Walton&Allen’s Maintenance Director and Block Management Administrator have attended site to sign off the works completed.

Following our comment on the 4th October 2016 Harvey Banks has confirmed that the works to the replacement gutter and fascias is complete. The scaffolding is still on site and will be removed as soon as possible.

Harvey Banks is on site today to start works to replacing the fascias and gutters across the front of the building.

Following our comment on 12.08.16, Harvey Banks is attending site this week to erect scaffolding in order to carry out the works to the gutters and fascias.

Gardening

WR Ltd have attended site today and cut back the shubs on site, sprayed any weeds, strimmed and cut the lawn areas and also cut the ivy along the front wall.

 

New Property Manager

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has attended site with Walton&Allen’s new property manager to familiarise them with the building.

Guttering

Following our comment on 15.07.16,  HDB Building services have confirmed that scaffolding will be erected on site week commencing 26.09.16 to carry out works to the gutters.

 

BT Survey

BT are going to be attending site and carrying out free surveys to determine whether it is eligible for free super fast BT broadband upgrades. We are currently awaiting a date that BT will be attending and will updated this page once this information has been received.

Tree Works

Following comment on 16.06.16, Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has chased the tree surgeon to see how the planning application has progressed.

Gutters

Following our comment on 16.06.16 we can confirm that HDB Building Services have been awarded the works for replacement gutters and fascias to the front of the building.

Once a date has been provided for when the works are programmed in we will be in touch with all leaseholders and residents.

Garage Gutters and Lower Building Down Pipes

Walton&Allen’s Roaming caretaker has attended site today and cleared the gutters at the top of the garages and the down pipes on the lower part of the building.

HMO Licensing

Walton&Allen’s Property and Estate Director has requested a review from the Nottingham City Council, on behalf of the Freeholder leaseholders, that building does not require a HMO license under section 257 of the Housing Act (2004).

Ivy Removal

The contracted gardening company WR Ltd have attended site today and removed the Ivy along the wall to Waverly Street.

Guttering

Following our comment below, we are currently reviewing 3 quotes we have received for the fascia and soffits and are in discussions with the contractors regarding any questions we may have.

Tree Works

Following our comment on 14.06.16, as the oak tree has a preservation order on it, a planning application has been made to Nottingham City Council in order to carry out the works to the oak tree and the application process can take up to 8 weeks.

Groveside Tree Specialists have been instructed to trim the canopy and to remove any deadwood from the oak tree at the rear of the property.

Walton&Allen’s Block Management Administrator has attended site and met with a third contractor to quote for the replacement gutters.

Walton&Allen’s Property and Estate Director and Block Management Administrator have attended site this morning and carried out a walk around inspection of the communal areas. They also met a contractor on site to quote for replacing the guttering.

Window Cleaning

Following our comment on 18.03.16, our contracted window cleaners Surface Care are due on site today to carry out the window cleaning.

Communal Gardening

Following our comment below, our gardening contractors WR Ltd have attended site today to carry out their first site visit. Whilst on this visit, 10 builders bags of waste and leaves were removed.

Communal Gardening

WR Limited have been instructed to carry out the gardening on site. Their first visit will be on Monday 11.04.16, weather permitting. On this visit the main duty will be to bring the site up to a manageable standard.

A member of the Walton&Allen Block Management team has attended site today and met with a tree surgeon to discuss any works that may be needed to the trees on site.

Window Cleaning

The window cleaning contractors Surface Care have been instructed to carry out the quarterly cleaning of all the windows. Their first visit will be on Friday 15th April 2016.

A member of the Walton&Allen Block Management team has met with a contractor on-site today (along with one of the leaseholders) to quote for window cleaning and garden maintenance for the site and to discuss the requirements.
